I am all about low-maintenance everyday beauty. I just don’t have the time for any products that require a lot of fussing or touch-ups throughout the day. Honestly, the last thing I want to worry about while I am rushing around the office is whether my lipstick needs to be reapplied, and that’s why I love MLBB lipsticks.
The abbreviation MLBB stands for “my lips but better!” and that’s exactly what these 5 lipsticks are. Let’s dive into them.
My 5 Favourite Nude Lipsticks
1. Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lipstick in Pillowtalk
Pillowtalk is one of those who knows it and love it kind of lipsticks. It’s been a favourite of many for quite a few years now. I started wearing back in 2016 and even wore it on my wedding day. Since it is a really beautiful pink nude it can really go with any makeup look and looks beautiful for both day and night. If you’re looking for a great go-to everyday lipstick, this is it!
2. Charlotte Tilbury Hot Lips Lipstick 2 in Dancefloor Princess
Charlotte Tilbury makes great lipsticks. Aside from Pillowtalk, another lipstick I often reach for is Charlotte Tilbury’s Dancefloor Princess. This lipstick is in their Hot Lips Lipstick 2 and unlike Pillowtalk, it comes in a satin finish which I really love. This colour is a bit more of a lighter pink shade but it wears very naturally and looks really beautiful for both day and night. Like Pillowtalk, I find that it wears well with every makeup look and is one that I reach for regularly.
3. MAC Cosmetics Satin Lipstick in Faux
Faux is my original “My Lips but Better” lipstick. This is one of the first, if not the first, lipstick that I ever really got totally hooked and wore religiously. And, it’s still one of my all-time faves. I remember getting my makeup done at MAC when I was about 14 years old and the makeup artist used this lipstick on me and I have loved it ever since.
Mac Cosmetic Faux is a natural soft muted mauve pink lipstick. It’s a slightly deeper toned lipstick so I would consider it a medium pink and it has a warm brownish tone to it. The formula of this lipstick is satin-fish like Charlotte Tilbury’s Dancefloor Princess, which I really like. I find satin finishes to make lips look smoother and more moisturized which I prefer since I do have somewhat dry lips.
4. Bare Minerals Mineralist Hydra-Smoothing Lipstick in Grace
I bought the Bare Minerals Mineralist Lipstick in Grace a few years ago and it’s been a favourite since. It has a slightly more peach tone to it than the others which I really like during the spring and summer seasons. It is quite a lightweight and thin-feeling lipstick but it surprisingly does last quite a long time on the lips.
5. tarte Maracuja Juicy Lip Plump in Cherry Blossom
The tarte Maracuja Juicy Lip Plump in Cherry Blossom is less of a lipstick and more of a lip balm with a beautiful wash of colour. It has a really beautiful soft pink tone to it that I absolutely love, and it’s super comfortable to wear since it is a balm.
While it is a plumping lip product, I don’t find it painful or overly tingly. Instead, it has more of a cooling feeling. I personally don’t find that it plumps the lips, but it does make them look super moisturized and juicy.

Beautiful! I like the color of my lips but I do love lipsticks. This seems like a good mesh of the two.
