Bacon Wrapped Asparagus Recipe
Asparagus is one of my favourite veggies. I often just drizzle a little olive oil, spritz a little lemon juice, and bake them in the oven for a few minutes.
But, sometimes, I like to mix it up and recently (for my husband’s Birthday) and make this Bacon Wrapped Asparagus Recipe.
I mean, since it was my husband’s birthday it seemed only right to incorporate one of his favourite things (bacon) into one of my favourite side-dish (asparagus).
FYI: If you follow me on Instagram then you already know that for his birthday I also whipped up some super easy and delicious Spicy Italian Crescent Rolls. Make sure you check out that recipe, too!
What I love about this Bacon Wrapped Asparagus Recipe is just how easy it is to make. It’s super easy to whip up if you’re having company over, and it’s really quite yummy
I try to be healthy and incorporate foods into my diet that support my long-term health. Ever since my Harrington Rod Surgery, and finding out I have I have hypothyroidism, health and wellness has been pretty high on my priority list.
Now, I wouldn’t say bacon-wrapped asparagus is the healthiest thing in the world, but in moderation, it can be. Also, often I’ll wrap out pork bacon for healthier types of bacon such as turkey bacon.
Asparagus, on the other hand, has a ton of health benefits and it’s worthwhile to include it in your diet regularly.

MORE DETAILS & INFORMATION:
How to Prep the Asparagus?
You always want to cut off the ends of your asparagus. The ends of your asparagus just don’t taste very good, so you’ll want to trim about 1 inch off the end to remove that icky-tasting bit.
I do not recommend that you just “snap” the asparagus ends off. A lot of people recommend that you snap your asparagus as it will break at the softer part which likely tastes better.
It makes sense in theory, but in actuality, you end up wasting a lot of the asparagus. I recommend instead that you just cut off about 1 inch.
How Long Does It Take for Bacon Wrapped Asparagus to Cook in the Oven?
I typically bake my asparagus for about 25 minutes – give or take. I personally like my bacon to be super crispy, so I tend to leave them in the oven for a longer amount of time.
I recommend you check your asparagus after about 18 minutes and see how it looks, and then continue to check it every few minutes until it reaches the level of crispiness you like.
