Not sure what the BEST hand creams are? No worries, I got you covered!
Year round, I struggle with dry hands. I think it’s because I work with my hands so often. I am always washing dishes, cleaning the house, gardening outside, and so my hands take a bit of beating.
Especially recently, after getting home from our trip – my hands were super rough and dry. I think it was mainly because of the sun and getting tanned, and also neglecting body care for the last few weeks – bad on me!
It’s especially bad because just a month or so ago, I had really adopted a great body care routine.
I was using my favourite body serum daily, the MoroccanOil Night Serum, theRodial Dragon’s Blood Neck Cream, I used hand cream in the AM and PM (and sometimes while I sat at my desk!), and I had even established a body butter routine that was keeping my skin nice, smooth, and soft.
I’m trying to get back into my routine now that I am home, and the first thing I am starting with is my hands since they are seriously like sandpaper right now.
[easy-image-collage id=8899]Anyways, over the years I’ve discovered a few hand creams that I just LOVE.
They have all become my favourites in their own ways which I am excited to share with you today! So, if you have dry hands and are ready to just have normal, smooth, non-cracking hands then be sure to keep scrolling to read the Best Hand Creams for Dry Hands!
Best Hand Creams for Dry Hands
Ahava Mineral Hand Cream
First up is the Ahava Mineral Hand Cream. I think this is probably my favourite out of the bunch, but it’s really hard to say since I do love them all.
This hand cream is a white cream that applies quite thick and heavy. It’s almost what I would consider a “conditioner for the skin” because it does almost feel like it deep conditions the skin.
Even though the texture of this is quite thick, it’s surprisingly not sticky or tacky once you rub it all into the skin. Instead, your skin feels super silky smooth and soft. It’s amazing.
I love using this hand cream in the AM and PM, and I also really love their foot cream – its the same kind of magic!
Cost: $30.00
Jowae Hand and Nail Cream
Like the Ahava Hand Cream, the Jowae Hand and Nail cream has a thick white texture. It’s super nourishing and hydrating to the skin and leaves your skin feeling really soft and smooth.
This one does leave a bit more slip to your skin than the first, but it’s great for really intense hydration. Plus, it’s great for those of us that have weak, peeling, or dry nails as this hand cream is specifically formulated for both hands and nails!
I also love that this hand cream is quite small as it fits perfectly in my purse.
Cost: $9.00
Neutrogena Hydro Gel Hand Cream
I hadn’t really ever tried a gel hand cream before and I was immediately curious when Neutrogena came out with this formula.
While I love hand creams, I really liked the idea of something lighter and more water-based as a hand cream, which is exactly what this is. It’s super lightweight and comfortable.
The Neutrogena Hydro Gel Hand Cream doesn’t leave any stickiness or slip to the skin, it just absorbs in and leaves your skin feeling much smoother and more moisturized.
Since it is a gel formula, it does feel almost like water when you begin to blend it out on your skin which feels really refreshing.
Cost: $7.98
The Body Shop Hemp Protector Hand Cream
Last but certainly not least is The Body Shop Hemp Protector Hand Cream.
I began using this hand cream back in high school when my skin used to get so painfully dry it would crack.
This hand cream is super thick and heavy, and it does leave your skin with a slight residue. But, it’s worth it for the longterm results of smoother skin if you have intensely dry hands.
I often use this hand cream in the winter when my skin gets very dry.
Cost: $7 – $14.70
