Summer beauty is a fine balance between embracing your natural beauty, protecting it, and accentuating it. Unlike during the winter you really need to stick to light products like lip balms with SPF, BB creams, & of course, sunscreen. During the wintertime, we all enjoy playing with lipsticks, dramatic eye-looks & contouring but when the sun comes out to play for summer – those lipstick melt, the eye shadows smudge and the contouring can appear unnatural & severe.
Summer Beauty Tips
1. SPF for the win:
Always apply SPF/sunscreen to your face during the summer. Though this is an important step to keep have throughout the year, it is especially necessary during the summer time.
If you typically apply moisturizer just mix the two together so you aren’t layering oily/moisturizing (hello, breakouts!) products on your skin.
2. Forget the foundation, hit up a BB cream:If you feel you need some coverage then opt for a BB Cream. BB Creams already have SPF in them so you can skip the first step if you’re wearing one of these babies!
3. Set & spray:
use a setting spray rather than a setting powder. Powders can get clumpy and cakey looking in the heat, but a spray will sit lightly & undetectable on your makeup.
Try using a setting spray that has a dewy finish for a pretty summer glow.
