These items were sent to me in PR. No post was obligated, I just wanted to share my thoughts.
I don’t change my hair care routine often. When I start a product, I pretty much always use it until it’s done (unless it’s terrible and makes my hair feel horrible, then I’m like thank u, next) and then will either repurchase or try something new. This is why I so rarely post about haircare routines even though haircare and hair-related posts are some of my most requested.
[easy-image-collage id=7520]If you follow me on Instagram, then you likely know that I have used Briogeo Don’t Despair, Repair Haircare Line quite a bit in the past. I’ve used their leave-in spray, as well as their hair cap mask and I’ve always really liked how they’ve made my hair look and feel.
After finishing my last haircare set, I decided to change up my hair care routine which is when Briogeo surprised me and sent me their full Briogeo Don’t Despair, Repair Haircare Line, which is actually the same line as the leave-in spray and hair cap mask that I love so much, and I was excited to give it a go.
[easy-image-collage id=7521]Now, I still use the Briogeo Don’t Despair, Repair Haircare Line in conjunction with a purple shampoo. So I am not using this haircare routine every single time I wash my hair, but I do use it about 1-2 times a week. I have been using this hair care line since just before our move, so about 3 months now (wow – has it been that long since we moved? Okay, I’m officially impressed that these products have lasted me this long, too. )

Briogeo Don’t Despair, Repair Haircare Line Super Moisture Shampoo
Can we first just address how giant this shampoo bottle is? I mean, it’s massive!! I appreciate that because I like that you get a lot of product when you purchase this shampoo.
For dry hair, this shampoo is great. I love that it doesn’t strip my hair or leave it feeling super dry or tangled. But, with that being said, sometimes I do find that after a few uses my hair begins to feel like it has some build-up. By “build-up” I mean my roots feel somewhat heavy and not totally clean, and so every couple of washes I either switch it out for a purple shampoo or a clarifying shampoo.

The deep conditioning mask is one product I definitely want to highlight because you guys: I love it. I love a good heavy-duty hair mask. Since I have quite dry hair (it’s fine, wavy, and I lighten it) I am big on using a deep conditioner 1-2 times weekly. I really love how it instantly (well, in like 10 minutes – I like to leave it in for a bit) makes my hair feel smoother and softer.
Since this mask is excellent for dry damaged hair types, after recently lightening my hair, I put this mask in for about 3 hours and it seriously made my hair feel healthy, bouncy, and soft as can be. I was thrilled because lightening your hair can sometimes leave it feeling pretty dry and knotted.
After rinsing out the shampoo and conditioner, I always like to follow up with a leave-in treatment. I’ve been using this one for months – I started using the leave-in mask well before I tried the full line – and I’ve always been a fan of it. It doesn’t weigh your hair down, or make it feel sticky which I really appreciate. There is truly nothing more annoying than washing your hair, adding in a leave-in conditioner, and then feeling like you have to wash your hair again because it’s too heavy!
[easy-image-collage id=7519]Since this mask is lightweight, I also always use a hair oil serum once my hair is dry to really make my hair as soft and shiny as possible. I would say if you have pretty healthy hair but want to make it smoother and remove tangles, then you’ll love this. If you have damaged hair like I do, then you’ll love it but want to follow-up with a serum as well.
