Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Collection
For the last few years, Charlotte Tilbury has been one of my very favourite brands. I used the Charlotte Tilbury Light Wonder Foundation on my wedding day (and it’s one of my favourite daily-wear foundations too – it’s so comfortable and lightweight) and the Charlotte Tilbury Hot Lips 2 Lipsticks are some of my very favourite lipstick formulas.
When the full NEW Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk Collection showed up on my doorstep a few weeks ago, my jaw dropped. As a massive CT addict, I was really excited to be able to see, try, and review all the products in the newest collection.
Charlotte Tilbury Instant Eyeshadow Palette, $95.00 (CAD)
Alright, so first up let’s talk about the limited-edition Charlotte Tilbury Instant Eyeshadow Palette.
This palette includes 12 eyeshadow pans ranging from soft neutrals to deeper maroon-reds. The pans are set up in 3’s to show you how to create 4 unique looks – one for daytime, work, evening/date, and dream/creativity.
The day eyeshadow set (eyeshadows in Dreamy Champagne Pink, Shimmering Rose Gold, Matte Dusty Pink) is very soft and blush-toned with soft sparkle.
The desk set of eyeshadows (eyeshadows in Matte Peachy-Camel, Mesmerising Peachy-Coral, Burnt Terracotta) is slightly more pigmented and peachy-based.
The date set of eyeshadows (eyeshadows Magical Matte Taupe, Soft Tawny Brown, Warm Velvety Brown) is comprised of deeper warm brown eyeshadows.
And lastly, the dream eyeshadow set (eyeshadows in Shimmering Rosy Pink, Sparkling Sunset Pink, and Blushed Berry Rose) is made up of punchy and bright pops of pink.
I’ve used this palette a number of times since receiving it and it has surprised me by just how versatile it is. While I like the category set up (I find it helpful for quickly creating looks) the shadows really all work together beautifully and you can make many looks using them together.
One thing that I found across the board with these shadows is that they appear much lighter in the pan than they do on the eye. They are surprisingly pigmented and rich when applied and you do not need to use much or dip your brush into the pan many times to create a fully pigmented look.
Overall, I think this palette is stunning. I hope that they make this a permanent item as I can see myself wanting to purchase this again in the future.
Charlotte Tilbury Eyeshadow Quads, $66.00
I have a few Charlotte Tilbury Quads and I have always found that they are great for quick daily use and simple evening looks. Since there are only 4 shadows though, they lack versatility.
Since these are small shadow palettes though, they are great for travel and they are excellent for creating simple and beautiful looks for work. I have a small makeup bag with products that I use daily before heading into the office, and I always have a CT quad in that bag – currently, I have the Pillow Talk palette we’re about to talk more about…

The Charlotte Tilbury Eyeshadow Quad in Pillow Talk includes both matte and shimmer eyeshadows: Rose Bud (shimmer), Pink (matte), Nude (shimmer), and Taupe (matte).
While this palette isn’t the most versatile (meaning, you cannot create super dramatic looks using this palette alone) it is an excellent palette if you’re looking for something that will create simple, elegant, sophisticated looks for daily wear. I’ve found that this palette is a great go-to for creating quick and beautiful looks for work.
The shadows are all very pigmented, easy to apply, and beautifully blendable.
[easy-image-collage id=9904]Charlotte Tilbury Eyeshadow Quad in Pillow Talk Palette of Pops
The Charlotte Tilbury Eyeshadow Quad in Pillow Talk Palette of Pops has 4 sheer eyeshadow toppers which include Nude Pink, Champagne, Rose Gold, Copper, and Bronze. These are all sparkly shades that are to be worn either over an eyeshadow primer or over an eyeshadow look to add a “pop” of colour and sparkle.
So, with that being said, this isn’t a palette you can really use on its own – you’ll definitely want to have another palette on hand to create your eyeshadow look and then have this to add a bit more sparkle and glam to your eyeshadow look.
While this palette is beautiful, and the shadows are stunning, it isn’t the most versatile on its own. I wouldn’t recommend this to those who are minimalist with their makeup since you would need another palette that has matte shadows to create most makeup looks.
Charlotte Tilbury Cheek to Chic Blush in Pillow Talk
The blushes are one of my very favourite Charlotte Tilbury products. They are always stunningly radiant and soft looking on the skin.
The Charlotte Tilbury Cheek to Chic Blush in Pillow Talk is described as a nude pink, however, I would say it has a somewhat peachy-coral undertone to it. It’s not a bright blush, it still looks natural, but it has that peachy-coral freshness that just looks so beautiful on the skin.
The blush itself is buttery smooth and applies effortlessly.
Charlotte Tilbury Cheek to Chic Blush in Pillow Talk Intense
Just like the original Pillow Talk blush, the Pillow Talk Intense blush is absolutely beautiful.
It’s described as a deep rosy pink and I would say that’s accurate. It is also quite radiant and gives your skin an overall beautiful flushed glow.
Charlotte Tilbury Beauty Highlighter Wand in Pillow Talk and Pillow Talk Medium, $50.00
The Charlotte Tilbury Beauty Highlighter Wand in Pillow Talk is a nude-pink cream highlighter. This is a very delicate nude pink with a very radiant blush glow finish.
The Charlotte Tilbury Beauty Highlighter Wand in Pillow Talk Medium is a more peachy-pink-toned highlighter. It has a richer peach-gold tone to it that is very beautiful.
To apply this highlighter you need to simply squeeze the tube for the product to soak through the foamy top applicator. Then you just dab the applicator on your cheeks. You can then blend the product out either with your finger, a brush, or a sponge. You do not need much of this highlighter to get a radiant-looking glow.
I absolutely love the look of these two shades. The colours are stunning and the radiant finish is beautiful. However, there isn’t a lot of product in the package (0.41 fl oz) and it is expensive ($50.00 CAD) and I do not love this style of packaging. I would prefer it to be in the Charlotte Tilbury Flawless Filter style packaging with the same amount of product as the Charlotte Tilbury Flawless Filter – that way you would get 1.0 oz for $53.00.
Charlotte Tilbury Superstar Lips Lipstick in Pillow Talk, $39.00 (CAD)
The Charlotte Tilbury Superstar Lips Lipstick in Pillow Talk is described as a nude-pink but I would also say it has somewhat of a berry-pink tone to it. It’s a very pretty colour and has a beautiful shine.
This lipstick is quite shiny and balm-like feeling on the lips which is very comfortable for dry or chapped lips. However, this means that it does fade on the lips somewhat quickly and you will have to reapply throughout the day.
Charlotte Tilbury Collagen Lip Bath in Pillow Talk, $40.00
The Charlotte Tilbury Collagen Lip Bath in Pillow Talk really surprised me when I first tried it. It has a minty smell and a minty tingling feeling when you apply it that is quite refreshing. I personally love all things mint, so for me this was all a good surprise.
The colour of this lipgloss is slightly more sheer and subtle when applied to the lips, but it still has that beautiful nude-pink tone to it that the rest of the Pillow Talk collection has.
The high-shine gloss looks very beautiful on the lips, and it’s very comfortable on the lips.
Charlotte Tilbury Lip Lustre Lip Gloss in Pillow Talk, $28.00
Just like all the other products in this collection, I absolutely adore the colour of the Charlotte Tilbury Lip Lustre Lip Gloss in Pillow Talk. It’s a beautiful nude-pink gloss that looks beautifully high-shine when applied to the lips. This gloss is slightly more sticky/tacky but it is very pigmented and it does last surprisingly long on the lips.
Charlotte Tilbury K.I.S.S.I.N.G Lipstick in Pillow Talk Intense, $39.00
The Charlotte Tilbury K.I.S.S.I.N.G Lipstick in Pillow Talk Intense is described as a deep berry rose, which I agree with. It is a rich and deep berry rose with a beautiful satin shine finish.
The K.I.S.S.I.N.G Lipstick formula is more moisturizing and shiny finish lipstick than the Matte Revolution formula, and it’s a great option for those looking for a formula that will feel comfortable on dry lips. It is one of my very favourite lipstick formulas as it is so comfortable and surprisingly long-wearing even though it does have a more balmy feeling on the lips.
Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lipstick in Pillow Talk, $39.00
One of my all-time favourite lipsticks is the Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lipstick in Pillow Talk. This lipstick has been a go-to for me for years, it lives in my purse, and I recommend it to everyone because I love it so much.
This lipstick is a soft pink-nude with a slightly coral/peach tone to it. It’s a very unique and soft pink nude shade that is very wearable.
Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lipstick in Pillow Talk Medium, $39.00
The Charlotte Tilbury Matte Revolution Lipstick in Pillow Talk Medium is described as a warm berry pink. It is versatile, as the original Pillow Talk shade, but it’s richer and deeper making it more wearable for more skin tones.
This is an extremely beautiful lipstick shade. While it won’t replace the original Pillow Talk for me (because that wears more like a “my lips but better” shade) this is a shade I have been reaching for often.
