EASY Tousled Waves Hair Tutorial

Want to know how to get perfect loose waves? This easy Tousled Waves Hair Tutorial takes only about 10 minutes and will give you the perfect soft tousled waves. Hello, bedhead perfection!

EASY Tousled Waves Hair Tutorial: My Go-to Hairstyle

EASY Tousled Waves Hair Tutorial

Lately, I’ve been switching up my go-to hairstyle. While, in the past, I’ve often used a straightening iron or heat-less hairstyling techniques to achieve soft loose curls, lately, I’ve been turning more and more to my T3 Styling Wand to create messier bedhead-style waves.

Why I LOVE Tousled Waves…

I am no hair expert. While I love unique hairstyles – you likely won’t ever find me with intricate braids or updos because: 1) how do people do that? 2) I cannot commit to the time those hairstyles take. Maybe one day I’ll sit down and teach myself how to do more complicated braids, but until then I’ll stick to my easy tousled waves! The thing about tousled waves is that they are super easy to do. All you need is a curling wand, a heat-resistant glove, and 10 minutes and you’ll be able to achieve these soft messy curls.

What You’ll Need:

– Curling wand, like the T3 curling wand.

– Hair serum, like the MoroccanOil Hair Serum.

– A texturizing spray. I use the Oribe Dry Texturizing Spray

– Soft hold hair spray if you find your hair falls easily. I don’t often use hair spray, but it can be a great product to use if your hair doesn’t hold curl easily.

Easy Tousled Waves Tutorial | Step by Step:

1. To get these loose curls you’ll first want to split your hair into sections. I typically split my hair into two sections for each side, and then on each side split the sections again into two. This way I can focus on the bottom and then the top, and then follow the same method on the other side.

2. Then, I begin curling. You want to wrap your hair around the curling wand and hold it there for a few seconds. Be careful though, you don’t want to end off burning your hair!

3. To get really messy waves, be sure to change the direction of your curls as you go. Alternate them to get a natural beachy look.

4. Next, you’ll want to let your hair cool. This will help the curls “set” and last longer.

5. Then, run a small amount of serum through your hair while you lightly separate the curls to make them look more natural and less bunched.

6. Spray on a little hairspray if you’d like to add a bit more hold to your hair. I don’t always do this, as my hair lasts well typically and hair spray can bother my skin. But, when I want my hair to maintain its curl for a long amount of time, I’ll then use a light-hold hairspray.

My heart is absolutely bursting right now. I can’t believe our little Liam is here. He is the most beautiful thing I have ever seen. He loves his sleep, is unbelievably strong, and is a total cuddle bug. Our hearts are so full 🤍🤍🤍

We had our scheduled c-section for the morning of May 3 and we knew going into it that there were two surgical routes that would be considered because of my prior spinal surgery. The first, the more routine c-section with either an epidural or spinal anaesthesia. The second, being fully put under with general anesthesia. I’ll be honest, I really thought we would be going with the first option(s) and that GA wouldn’t really be on the table. I didn’t want it on the table, but after speaking to the anesthesiologist, it became clear that it was the safest option. It was an emotional decision, I was really scared to be honest. It was not made lightly. I was walked into the OR at about 10:00am and by 10:13am, Liam was earthside and screaming. Jeremy was there to cut the cord and give him his first cuddles. It took me a bit longer to get to see our Liam because of this surgical route, and I feel so lucky knowing Jeremy was there to be with him in his first moments. He already is such a great dad 🤍

The last 48 hours have been a wonderful whirlwind. We are all doing well. We feel incredibly blessed to have our sweet Liam here💙
