Let’s Talk about eShakti Custom Sizing

When I was younger, I LOVED shopping. Like, truly loved it. I didn’t care if I had to try on 100 jeans, dresses, shorts, shirts to find my perfect piece of clothing.

I didn’t care if I spent hours at the mall – I enjoyed the hunt of finding my perfect dress, shirt, shorts, jeans, and so on. It was pretty much a sport for me back then. 

Fast forward a few (alright, more than a few) years and shopping just isn’t something I enjoy like I once did. By dress, jeans, skirt, or blah blah blah #5, I’m getting a bit restless, and by #10 I’m just fully over it.

Finding the right fit that is also comfortable and practical seems like a job all on its own – and then adding to it that I actually have to like it’s style, well – what a nightmare. 

I’ve known and worn clothes from eShakti for a couple of years, specifically their skirts and dresses, and I’ve come to realize that online shopping that includes custom-sizing sparks some mad joy for me. 

The Body Type Fiasco.

When it comes to my body type, I’m pretty much a pear. I can sometimes be perceived as an hourglass because I do have broader shoulders and hips, but I would consider myself more of a pear-shape as I have a smaller chest -#IttyBittyTittyCommittee over here! 

Sometimes, my body shape feels like it can pose a real issue when trying on clothes in stores. Jeans may fit great on my legs, but tight on my hips. A dress may fit great on my hips but be too loose up top. #Nightmare! 

Now, I know that thinking my body is the issue is the wrong way of thinking about it – because really, there’s nothing wrong with my body, there’s just something wrong with the clothes, but sometimes that negative self-dialogue is hard to shed. I think that’s why sometimes shopping in-store can feel like such a frustrating experience. 

While I would like to get over that negative self-talk entirely, and some days I totally am over it, some days I just find it easier to go online to a store that I know is going to work for my body – and let’s just clarify, I don’t just mean a store that will simply just “work for my body” – I mean a store that will go the extra mile and customize it’s clothes for my body.

I really like that eShakti custom sizing takes the guesswork out of choosing the right size, and that they really want you to feel confident and comfortable in their clothes.

Aside from their custom sizing, they also want you to love the sleeves on your selected item, the length of the item, and so on. They want you to love every aspect of what you order and that really is awesome. 

The customization aspect of the sleeves, length, etc is something that I especially like because you can really customize your item to your particular comfort and needs.

For example, a lot of offices prefer your shoulders are covered, well that’s no problem – eShakti allows you to customize the sleeves. Maybe you don’t feel comfortable with a dress hitting above the knee – don’t worry, girl eShakti has got you covered.

Call Me a Dreamer

Okay, you can call me a dreamer but – I really hope one day that more stores hop on board to the customization train. I think it would be incredibly helpful for women to be able to tweak styles to really fit them.

We would love our clothes more, feel more confident. And, by making customization the norm maybe we could stop our negative self-talk and begin to really adopt the idea that all bodies are a little different – and that’s okay – in fact, it’s more than okay, it’s great.
