Matcha Breakfast Bowl Recipe
For years, I was a coffee + toast breakfast sort of girl. I hated anything that took more than just a couple of steps to make.
I would wake up tired and groggy and simply want something that was simple, easy, and fast.
But, it wasn’t until this year that I realized I needed to improve my breakfast game.
The fact is I am always super groggy in the mornings, and that means I should be having something first thing in the morning that will improve my energy, like a matcha yogurt breakfast bowl.

I started including matcha in my diet a few months ago (actually – almost a year ago now?) and one day it dawned on me: why not mix it into a breakfast bowl? I had begun switching out my usual coffee + toast breakfast for yogurt and fruit anyways, and it just seemed natural to include some energy-boosting + metabolism-supporting matcha into the mix.

Why Matcha?
Matcha is packed with healthy nutrients and antioxidants.
In fact, Matcha has about 10x the EGCG that green tea does – so yes, you’d have to drink about 10 cups of green tea to get the EGCG (epigallocatechin gallate) that you would from just 1 cup of matcha – wild!
EGCG has been shown to support your metabolism and increase energy. In addition, Matcha is rich in L-theanine which helps with relaxation and improves mental clarity and focus.
