During the fall and winter seasons, I LOVE hot apple cider. Growing up, the beginning of the holidays was marked with my Mom pouring all these tasty ingredients into a giant crock-pot, filling our home up with the festive scent. My brother and I would wait excitedly in the family room for our first hot cider of the season.
Since my mum always kept her recipe under wraps, I assumed that this recipe was an intricate and detailed list of steps and ingredients that slowly boiled and melted together to create the mouth-wateringly good hot apple cider that kept me on my toes in our living room. Luckily, when she finally shared the recipe with me I found out it was actually SUPER easy to make.
Hot Apple Cider Ingredients:
1 Litre of Apple Juice
1/2 Litre Cranberry Juice
Optional: Spiced Rum
1. Pour apple juice and cranberry juice into a crockpot.
2. Add in a few sticks of cinnamon and a spoonful of cloves into the juice mixture.
3. Allow juice mixture to heat up in crockpot for 2 hours
4. Grab a cup, add in a little spiced rum, and enjoy!
