We had a long winter, and pretty much no spring, but now that summer is here – boy, is it really here! Here in Vancouver, we’ve had some amazing weather, and as a Vancouver Fashion & Beauty Blogger, I’ve been soaking up every opportunity to get outdoors, go on adventures, take photos, and create new summer inspired content.
One thing I think we can all agree on is that during these warmer days, makeup and beauty can be a challenge.
The sun makes our skin melt, we get sweaty, and there’s nothing pretty about being a melted made-up mess. Plus, it feels super gross. I know, because I recently wore a glam look out for a brunch and we sat on the patio in the sun… Let me just say, it was not good.

That’s why I decided to share today’s look – a super lightweight and natural makeup look that evens out your skin tone to give you that pretty flawless finish but won’t feel heavy (or gross!) in the sunshine.
One thing I will note is that the foundation I am using today does not have an SPF in it. I believe in caring for your skin in the sun, and there’s nothing more important than sunscreen when it comes to your sun protection.
That’s why I like to carry around a powder SPF. They protect your skin without making it feel slick or sticky like most sunscreens do.

Too much makeup usually grosses me out. You post helped me find the fine line between looking natural and too dolled up. Could you please put up a tutorial for nude makeup as well? I wanted to give that a try next.
