Pack my hospital bag with me as a second time mama

Pack my hospital bag with me as a second time mama having a scheduled c-section. 🤍 Please no negative comments or medical advice over my c-section. This is the safest choice for my baby & myself.

First up, I’m packing some shower sandals & a pair of slipper shoes. I bring these rather than regular slippers since the hospital floors are high traffic.

Then I am bringing a nursing gown. I got this one off of Amazon & it’s linked in my storefront. It is SO soft.

Next, I packed 2 nursing bras. These are super stretchy & comfortable. I got this black one from @bumpsuit. The pink one is from @amazon & it’s also 👌.

I am packing 2 going home outfit options. Both are really soft & stretchy, but I like to bring 2 options in case one happens to feel less comfortable than expected on the day we are leaving. The first is linked in my Amazon storefront, the second is a t-shirt & loose pants from @halara_official. Next, I’m bringing a few pairs of socks.

This time around, I decided to pack some adult diapers. I didn’t pack this last time, but I did use them when I got home and found that they were much more comfortable than the mesh underwear/pads that the hospital provides to you.

I am bringing some @fridamom Disposable Underwear. These ones are made specifically for c-section mamas & you can get them on Amazon.

In a smaller travel bag, I am bringing a @indeedlabs cleanser, @om.organics.skincare moisturizer, @pinkstork postnatal vitamins, & @honestcompany nipple cream. I highly recommend getting a nipple cream in a tube rather than a tub. It’s more hygienic & could help you avoid mastitis. Then I am bringing some deodorant, nipple silverettes, & nipple shields.

I didn’t end up wearing makeup last time so this may be unnecessary but I am packing some mascara, a concealer, a blush, cream eyeshadow, and lip balm.

On the day, I’ll be packing my daily thyroid medication & my glasses, but those aren’t getting packed until the last minute since I need them in the meantime.

Lastly, I packed 2 hair ties which I just wrap around my hair brush & that’s it! I am packing a separate bag for our baby boy so let me know if you’d be interested to see what’s in there! 🩵

While I have loved every moment of this pregnancy, I am really beginning to feel it and I’m excited for our baby boy to be here. These last few weeks are tough - they are very sleepless, uncomfortable, and it’s challenging to move around. Add on to it that I’ve been dealing with a very not-fun cold that continues to linger and well, I’m just feeling run down 🤧

The contractions have seemed to stop for now so I am back to feeling like we will make it to our delivery date. Our baby boy has been moving around lots — even our midwife commented on just how active he seems to be! We are so excited to meet him, bring him home, and have him meet his older brother 🩵🩵

What my 1 year old eats in a day (not including bottles 🍼)

BREAKFAST:
Omelette with arugula, shredded chicken, cheese, and seasoned with fresh oregano, salt & pepper. On the side: sliced banana & plain greek yogurt. In the sippie cup: goats milk. 🍳🥬🍌🥛

LUNCH:
PB&J Sandwich bites with natural peanut butter and homemade sugar-free jam (just blended berries). On the side: leftover omelette and greek yogurt with homemade “jam”.🥪🫐🍓🍳

DINNER:
Mashed sweet potato with butter and cinnamon, slowed cooked roast (shredded), and guacamole. 🍠🥑🍽️

35 weeks 🩵 I cannot believe we are only a few weeks away from meeting our little baby!

This pregnancy has gone by so fast. Though, these last few weeks have been a bit tough. I definitely am feeling the pregnancy at this point - the exhaustion, pregnancy insomnia, out of breath, sore back and hips, swollen feet - yeah, I’m checking all those boxes right now. ✔️✔️✔️ I’m excited to be nearing the end of this pregnancy and SO excited to be meeting our baby boy so soon 🩵
