Silk’n Titan Skin Tightening Treatment Review
Just over 10 weeks ago, I shared with you all that I was going to be doing a 10-week trial of the Silk’n Titan skin tightening device.
Each week (with the sad exception of 1 because my device broke and I needed a new one) I uploaded updates on Instagram Story sharing how my skin was looking if I was noticing changes and the pros and cons of the Silk’n Titan skin tightening treatment.
Silk’n Titan Skin Tightening Device
How it Works
The Silk’n Titan skin tightening treatment is an at-home anti-aging device that uses infrared energy, LED light energy, and RF energy.
Infrared Energy increases blood circulation to improve skin-tone; LED light energy increases collagen growth which reduces the look of fine lines and wrinkles; RF energy penetrates beneath the skin to the connective tissue where it improves collagen production, tighten skin, and reduce sagging.
HOW TO USE THE SILK’N TITAN
To begin using your Silk’n Titan, you want to plug it in. You’ll notice the light around the button on the back lights up to notify you that it’s ready to go.
You’ll then want to quickly test out the levels (starting with level 1) to see which level is most comfortable for you.
I first started using this device at a level one because I was initially nervous about the heat, but I quickly jumped up to a level four. For optimal results, you want to be using the device on a level 3+.
You’re going to be using the device in sections – your right cheek, left cheek, chin and jawline, and forehead. You will apply the Hyaluronic Gel (which Silk’n provides you in your kit) to the first area you’re focusing on.
This Gel helps the Silk’n Titan device glide over your skin. If you begin to notice that the Silk’n Titan is pulling at your skin during the treatment, simply apply more Hyaluronic Gel.
Now it’s time to apply the device to your face. Choose a section of your face that you want to focus on, and use the device on that section for 15 minutes.
You’ll want to repeat this whole skin tightening treatment process twice weekly.
Do you Have to Use the Silk’n Titan Gel?
You must use a hyaluronic slider gel, but I don’t believe it HAS to be the Silk’n Slider Gel-Silk’n.
You do need a hyaluronic gel though on your skin as it acts as a conductor for the Silk’n Titan technology.
I personally would use the Silk’n Slider Gel since it’s clearly approved by the company to use, and also because it’s easily available at stores (Shoppers Drug Mart, for example) and online.
Can You use Silk’n Titan Daily?
It is not recommended to use the Silk’n Titan daily.
Silk’n recommends you use your Silk’n Titan device twice weekly for the first 10 weeks.
After 10 weeks, they recommend using it just once weekly to maintain your results.
My First Impressions:
Pros of Silk’n Titan
This device definitely has its pros. The device paired with the Hyaluronic Slider Gel adds hydration back into the skin to create a more flawless appearance.
I felt that immediately after the treatment my skin looks completely fine-line and wrinkle-free, and it had this really healthy vibrancy to it. In addition, I did feel like it truly tightened the skin along my jawline.
I haven’t struggled with sagging or loose skin before, so I didn’t feel like my skin on my face looked tighter, but I did find that it felt tighter (like when you do a clay mask sort of thing) and I did feel that my jawline looked tauter.
Cons of Silk’n Titan
There are two cons for me with this device.
1. It’s Expensive
The first being the cost. This device costs $299.00 which is definitely on the high side.
This price point would be worthwhile for those with mature skin who are noticing their skin is sagging since this isn’t something you should have to replace again, or very often.
But, for those looking for a preventative aging treatment, I would say invest instead in the Silk’n Facefx which costs $150.00. The Silk’n Titan is designed to tighten the skin, so while it does reduce the look of wrinkles, that’s not it’s the main purpose.
2. Using the Silk’n Titan is Time-Consuming.
The second con for me is the amount of time you need to spend doing the treatment each week. You need to use this device 15 minutes on each section of your face, which totals to about 1 full hour.
While I found it relaxing to watch TV and do my at-home Silk’n Titan skin tightening treatment, I also found at times that the time commitment proved difficult with my schedule.
I understand why the treatment needs to take this long, but regardless, it’s quite a chunk of time.
My Skin Tightening Treatment Results
First Skin Tightening Treatment:
Final Skin Tightening Treatment After 10 Weeks:
I feel like my results show really healthy, hydrated, line-free skin which makes me super happy. It’s difficult to show the difference on my jawline, but let me know in the comment section if you can also see the difference there.
I have felt that my jawline has an overall more contoured look and is more defined which is exciting.
I also felt that after doing this treatment for a few weeks that my skin began to maintain the results for longer. Overall, I am very happy with the skin tightening treatment and I do feel it works.

I tried using this product for a while but I agree that while it can be fine at first after a while my schedule just got too busy for it!! I now like to try it do it at least twenty minutes while watching the morning news and then do some jaw excercises at my desk at work!
